Amani Boros is a multi-award winning sustainability leader, DEI advocate and a philanthropist. Reporting into the CEO, she is the Managing Director and Head of Sustainability at State Street Bank International. Ms. Boros develops and leads the sustainability strategy, client, regulatory and stakeholder engagement across SSBI. Prior to her role at State Street, Amani was the Global Head of Risk and Control for the Sustainability, Strategy and Finance Group at Credit Suisse, where she was responsible for sustainability risk management and supporting the group in setting the sustainable and impact strategy and facilitating sustainable investments. Amani previously founded Amatte Group, which launched Amatte Coffee, a direct trade premium coffee company that empowers African female farmers. Amani deeply believes everyone should have equal access to the workforce, regardless of background. She is a vocal advocate for equity and has mentored over 100 people within and outside of the Banking industry. She founded the Credit Suisse EMEA Black & Asian Employee Network, in an effort to address the gap in representation and has been part of various panels to increase awareness. Amani has been recognized for her contributions in the press and won the prestigious Women In Banking & Finance ‘Young Professional Award’, the STRECH 2023 Top 25 Trailblazers award, Top 8 Future Leaders in the Ethnicity Awards and was selected as part of the Empower Executives Role Model List 2024. Ms. Boros has a deep passion for equal access to education and gender empowerment. She is a mentor to students from disadvantaged socioeconomic background and is an Ambassador of the One Young World organization.
Bettina Denis is the Head of Sustainability at Revaia, a European leading investor in sustainable innovation managing nearly €500 million in assets. With over five years of ESG advisory experience, she has been a key architect of Revaia’s sustainable strategic development. Bettina Denis’ work involves crafting and deploying comprehensive action plans, developing proprietary rating tools, conducting rigorous due diligence, and guiding portfolio companies on their sustainability journeys. A seasoned executive, Bettina Denis is a member of Revaia’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee, and a champion for the firm’s BCorp certification. Before joining Revaia, she was a Director at Deloitte’s Transaction Services Department, where she gained extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Bran is passionate about helping our portfolio companies utilise ESG, to unlock value for society and shareholders, and demonstrating their positive impact, using a measurable and transparent approach. Bran heads the Group’s approach to ESG, having previously worked as a management consultant focussing on sustainability and ESG, first at KPMG’s Wealth and Asset Management practice, and then at the asset management research division of Cutter Associates (part of Nomura Research Institute) where he was the ESG lead. As a consultant he led and advised on ESG integration, decarbonisation strategies, ESG reporting, regulations and data, for various asset managers, asset owners and private markets clients. Bran has worked in financial services for more than 15 years across the buy and sell side including at Credit Suisse, ABRDN and Aegon Asset Management in various operational and strategy roles. Bran holds a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and an MSc in Technology Management from Manchester Business School. Originally from Sri Lanka, and fluent in Tamil, Bran started his career in a technology start-up.
At IFM, Maria leads the Global Sustainable Investment team, supporting the organisation’s drive towards maximising long-term returns while creating positive and wide-ranging benefits for communities around the world. Prior to joining IFM, Maria spent nearly four years as Head of Responsible Investment and Stewardship at one of the UK’s largest pension providers Scottish Widows. She had previously held senior DC investment consulting roles at Mercer and JLT. She is a spokesperson on responsible investment matters, a regular contributor to pension and sustainable finance industry events, a UK Top Green Voice on LinkedIn and a professional awards judge. She is a member of the UKSIF Board and its Policy Committee and also volunteers on a number of government-led taskforces.
Monika joined Abris in 2017 as a partner responsible for Investor Relations, communication, and ESG. She brings 25 years of international C-suite experience in finance, private equity, banking, investor relations, management, strategy, and development. At Abris, Monika is a member of the Abris Partners’ Board, Investment Committee, and she is chairing the Corporate Governance Committee. She contributed materially to developing and implementing of Abris ESG strategy, which is focusing on managing portfolio risks and creating shareholder’s value. Before joining Abris, Monika was active as a non-executive director, serving on multiple supervisory boards of large companies and publicly listed corporations. Previous private equity experience includes Innova Capital, where she supervised both Portfolio Management & Fund Operations and Enterprise Investors, where she was in charge of Investor Relations. Earlier, she held the position of CFO at the pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Synthélabo and was a senior auditor at both Salustro Reydel (France) and Arthur Andersen (Poland). Monika holds a Master’s degree from the Warsaw School of Economics and post-graduate diplomas in Social Psychology and Agriculture. She has previously chaired the Corporate Governance Committee and is currently a member of the Management Board at the Polish Association of Private Equity. Monika is fluent in English, Polish, French and Russian.
Noëlla de Bermingham started her career in the Sustainable Development Department of a major Hotel Group where she was in charge of projects, innovation and brand strategy. In 2014, Noëlla joined Private Equity sector as CSR Manager and then Deputy CSR Director in a leading global investment company. With more than 15 years of experience in responsible business transformation (10 years in ESG & Private Equity), Noëlla de Bermingham joined Andera Partners in 2021 as Chief Sustainability Officer to confirm and accelerate the responsible commitment of the management company. In January 2022, Noëlla became the Chair of the Sustainability Commission of France Invest (French trade association specialized in Private Equity with more than 600 members) Founded over 20 years ago, Andera Partners is a major player in unlisted investments in France and abroad. Its teams manage more than €4 billion. Based in Paris, with offices in Anvers, Milan and Munich, Andera Partners has 115 employees, including 69 investment professionals
Phil joined Helios in August 2020, leading Helios’ ESG and Impact related activities across all of Helios’ strategies, including Helios’ Article 9 Climate Fund, CLEAR. He has 17+ years of relevant professional experience. He was previously Head of Sustainability for EMEA at The Carlyle Group, where he had oversight of regional ESG activities in Private Equity, Real Assets and Global Credit. He was also previously Assistant Director in the Sustainability and Climate Change Consulting team at PwC, providing ESG and climate related services to a range of financial services clients. In 2023, he joined the PRI’s Private Equity Advisory Committee
Serge is the Global Head of Sustainability at Investindustrial leading a team of sustainability experts to deliver tangible impact and value in the investment process and portfolio companies. Serge is active in shaping ESG in the PE industry, as the Co-chair of the Private Equity Advisory Committee at the UN PRI, member of the SBTi Financial Sector Expert Advisory Group, the Chair of Initiative Climat International (ICI) and a member of the Invest Europe Responsible Investment Roundtable. Serge was previously a Director at Accenture Strategy and a Director of Sustainability Services at WSP Group. He is an Engineer with a PhD in Renewable Energy.
Carolina Espinal joined HarbourVest in 2004 to focus on partnership investments in Europe and other emerging markets and became a Managing Director in 2015. Carolina focuses on managing European venture capital and buyout partnership investments and has collaborated with the secondary and co-investment groups on several investment opportunities. She currently serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Abénex Capital, ECI, Inflexion, and Advent International. Her previous experience includes two years as a financial analyst with the Merrill Lynch Energy and Power mergers and acquisitions team in Houston. Carolina graduated from Rice University with a BA in Managerial Studies, Policy Studies, and Economics in 2000. She received an MSc in Finance from the London Business School in 2003. Carolina speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Emily Pollock was a co-founder Private Asset Solutions group of Schroders Capital and works with clients to build and implement customised private asset portfolios and multi-private asset products. She looks after the client side of private asset solutions and was previous in the private asset sales group. Emily joined Schroders in 2018, having previously worked in the New York Office on the Schroder Adveq Opportunity team, where she covered small market buyout and distressed investments. Prior to this Emily was the senior member of the investment team for 50 South Capital based in London. At 50 South Capital she managed the European Investment portfolio investing in primaries, secondaries and coinvestments, co-led efforts in Infrastructure and private debt globally, and assisted in fundraising. Emily started her career at Northern Trust, in Chicago, where she sourced, led and monitored buyout, growth and venture capital primary, secondary and co-investments in the US.
Marta Jankovic is the Head of Sustainability at Stafford Capital Partners. Marta works closely with Stafford’s leadership and investment teams and is focused on shaping Stafford’s sustainable investing strategy, fostering engagement with clients, policy and industry stakeholders. Prior to joining Stafford, Marta held senior advisory and directorship positions at global investment firms. She was responsible for the delivery of client RI objectives at APG Asset Management, representing the global RI team on the Committee for Investment Proposals, and later advised APG’s Private Markets teams on implementation of EU’s SFDR. Marta was also a Director in the Stewardship team at BlackRock, where she was responsible for providing leadership on ESG research and insights, as well as voting and engaging with public companies in the EMEA region. Marta is a member of the Mission Committee of Armen, a purpose-driven GP stakes investor.
Head of Private Equity Patria Global Private Market Solutions Based in its Edinburgh and London offices, Merrick heads the private equity business (formerly abrdn Private Equity) within Patria Global Private Markets Solutions (“Patria GPMS”). With AuM of over $10bn and a team of 60, including 25 investment professionals, Patria GPMS constructs tailored private equity portfolios principally through European and North American primary commitments, secondary fund investments and co-investments. Patria GPMS represents a broad range of private equity investors via pooled funds and separately managed accounts, including the Patria Private Equity Trust plc (a FTSE- 250 £1.2bn investment trust). Merrick is: a member of the Patria GPMS Investment Committee; an Advisory Board member of numerous funds; a regular speaker at private equity conferences; and a member of the Invest Europe Limited Partners Council. An Australian with British dual-nationality, Merrick has over 30 years’ experience in the European private equity industry. Previous roles include: Head of European Investments in Macquarie’s Private Markets division (now Roc Partners); 13 years as a Partner and Investment Committee member of Primary Capital (the London-based, lower mid-market private equity firm) where he was responsible for leading, originating and managing numerous private equity investments in the UK; and 5 years in lead MBO and M&A advisory services. Merrick holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Queensland.
Natasha Buckley joined HarbourVest in 2019 and is responsible for sustaining the Firm’s ESG strategy and partnering with our general partners, limited partners, and the Firm’s employees to embrace sustainable investing. Natasha joined HarbourVest from Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), where she was responsible for their work in the private equity sector, developing tools and resources for PRI signatories to integrate ESG considerations into their investment processes. Whilst at HarbourVest, Natasha served as Chair of the Initiative Climat International 2022-2024 and was featured on the PEI’s 2024 list of 50 influencers in sustainable private markets. Natasha received a BA in History from University College London, an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and has completed the University of Oxford Private Equity Programme at the Saïd Business School.
